Dr. Cihan Doğan, MSc
Dr. Cihan Dogan, the founding partner of the CD LAW, is graduated from Yeditepe University, Faculty of Law and is a member of Istanbul Bar. Dr. Dogan holds a Ph.D. degree of Private Law from Istanbul Bilgi University, Institute of Social Sciences. Dr. Dogan also holds an LLM in International Commercial Law degree from City University London and an MSc in Competition and Market Regulation degree from Barcelona Graduate School of Economics.
Dr. Dogan has extensive experience on competition law matters. He involved and conducted almost every possible competition law related work including leniency applications and Phase II investigations. He has also worked on complex investigation defence works, numerous merger control filings and individual exemption applications. He also involved in conducting competition compliance programs and providing day-to-day advice, including delivering legal memorandums concerning highly sophisticated competition law related matters. Dr. Dogan is the author of several publications on competition policy matters. His monographies published in English and Turkish by various national and international journals. He also speaks at national and international conferences on competition policy issues. He is the author of the book title "Digital Platforms: Competition Law and Economics Perspective" and is cou-author of the book titled "Regulation of Digital Markets from Competition Policy Perspective: E-Commerce Law and Draft Amendment of Turkish Competition Act".
Att. Ferhat Doğan
Ferhat Dogan graduated from Ozyegin University Faculty of Law in 2019. After graduation he joined as a legal trainee to CD Law where he currently is an associate lawyer. Mr. Dogan provides legal services to clients especially on competition law, competition litigation matters, sports law, litigation and intellectual property law. He plays an active role in defending clients before civil and administrative courts. Mr. Dogan is now an LL.M candidate at Istanbul Bilgi University Business Law program and preparing his LLM dissertation.
Att. Deniz Tanlı
Deniz Tanlı is graduated from Bahcesehir University Faculty of Law as a high honor student in 2018. He awarded with honor scholarship in his undergraduate degree. Prior to Law School, he had started his academic career by studying Economics at Istanbul Bilgi University. After completing 2 years of Economics, he moved on to pursue a degree in Law. Deniz mainly works in competition and regulation matters. In this respect, he takes role in competition investigations and assists clients with their day-to-day competition and regulatory compliance matters. Deniz also works as a researcher at Istanbul Bilgi University Competition Law and Policy Research Center and pursuing a LL.M degree at the same university in the field of Business Law.
Dr. Buğra Kesici (Of Counsel)
Buğra graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2011. In 2015, he obtained his LL.M. degree from Istanbul Bilgi University Social Sciences Institute Business Law Master Programme with thesis entitled “Tort Liability Arising From Breach of Competition Law”. After his graduation, his master thesis was published as a book by On İki Levha Publishing. He also holds PhD degree in Commercial Law from Istanbul University, where he wrote his PhD thesis entitled “Invalidity of General Board Resolutions in Joint Stock Companies”. For his PhD thesis, he did academic research for one year at the Max-Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg. Currently, he is research assistant at department of commercial law and registered lawyer in Istanbul Bar. He has key expertise in corporate and commercial law, competition law and capital markets law.
